about

Amaru was evidently the Incan name for the feathered serpent god known also as Quetzalcoatl. Some say its alternative name, Amaruca, is related to the origin of our country's name. I think this song evokes the feathered serpent stirring and taking flight and doing feathered-serpent things. Or at least, I hope it does, because that seems pretty badass.
